Zanna – Rhino Protection in Practice

Zanna – the story is an easy but confronting read.

During a recent self-drive journey through the wild but beautiful Namibia and Botswana, a party of us were fortunate enough to visit a game lodge in Central Namibia where we were afforded the amazing opportunity to walk amongst several groups* of White Rhinos. These huge mammals were both young and old, not kept within boundaries, but roaming “free.”

The unfortunate yet dismaying fact is that they are guarded 24/7 by armed security guards to ensure their safety and very existence.

I was so touched by this experience that I have decided to help these magnificent animals in some small way using a resource available to me.

So here goes….

Through our family owned business, Optima Press, in Perth, Australia, we have reprinted this book “Zanna ” which is already in print in Namibia, published by One Namibia and written by Martin Rust on who’s farm the game lodges are situated.

Our support for the Rhino is made possible by our ability to print and distribute Zanna free to all who are interested and wish to spread the word. We hope that you will read Zanna and pass the book on to people who care about wildlife and Rhinos in particular.

Rhinos are being killed faster than they can survive!

Every year, Rhinos fall victim to poaching, driven by illegal trade and human greed. If nothing changes we risk losing them forever.

This book is meant to confront that reality. Through powerful pictorial storytelling and insight we hope to shine the truth behind Rhino poaching and why it must end!

We are appealing to you to stand alongside us in an endeavour to bring this horrific practice to a closure.

Your support and the raising of awareness in some small way will inspire change and give the Rhinos a fighting chance of survival.

For free copies of Zanna , email zanna@optimapress.com.au. Please be part of this project and ensure that Rhinos will not be lost to silence! Every dollar raised through mycause.com goes directly to helping the plight of these majestic creatures.

Thank you.
